A local architecture firm founded in 1853 is welcoming an outsider to continue its mission.
American Institute of Architects President Evelyn Lee is the first nonemployee to join Luckett & Farley's board of directors. Her term begins this year.
According to a news release from the architecture firm, Lee will be "a welcomed voice providing outside insight and expertise" and her experience and opinion may aid in helping to adapt the firm's approach to meet the industry's technological shifts "for the good of its clients and its employee-owners."
Luckett & Farley is the area's second largest architectural firm with 11 registered architects in 2024, according to Louisville Business First research. The firm is also one of the area's oldest businesses, largest interior design, and largest engineering firms in the area.
Lee is the founder of Practice of Architecture and hosts the Practice Disrupted podcast.
