LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville architectural firm displays the original blueprints of the iconic Churchill Downs Twin Spires on Wednesday.
Luckett and Farley brought out the blueprints for one day only.
The firm says it brings out the blueprints once a year.
They were hand-drawn in 1894 and constructed a year later. There are also scanned versions of these original prints.
Luckett and Farley Vice President Robert Lindgren told WHAS11, it is great to see the spires standing the test of time.
"To see something that's been around for so long is really incredible," he said.
Lindgren said the firm hasn't worked with Churchill Downs recently, but they do work on buildings in the Louisville Metro.
He also said construction has changed a lot over the years but sometimes the blueprints are referenced.
