This 60,000 SF two-story, tilt-up concrete building is used to house biological manufacturing processes including offices, shipping/receiving, laboratories, chemical warehousing, etc. Four unique laboratories were programmed and designed to facilitate & optimize operations. A separate hazardous materials storage building was also designed and permitted separately so as to not delay construction. This project was executed using the design-build delivery method.
Facility 20640 is a three-story building originally constructed in 1964. The facility houses the Air Force Institute of Technology, Graduate School of Engineering and Management. Significant features of the renovation included:
