ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Luckett & Farley designed a new facility that serves as a regional administrative center for Girl Scout troops, Brownie troops, and Daisy troops across central and western Kentucky and southern Indiana. The new facility provides learning environments for children starting at pre-kindergarten.

Functions include administrative offices, program spaces for use by scout troops from across the region, training facilities for volunteers and scout troop leaders, a retail shop for supplies and equipment, and an overnight sleeping area for visiting scouts and their troop leaders.

"Luckett and Farley participated with us in a very difficult zoning phase as well as the programming, design, and selection of construction managers. I can’t say enough about the patience, excellent listening skills and professionalism of the Luckett & Farley staff, from the engineers to the designers to our senior architect.  Girl Scouting is an “input-rich” environment and Luckett & Farley valued the input of our volunteers and gave us a design which met all of our needs. Luckett & Farley understands that the needs of a non-profit organization may be different from a corporate client. Their attention to detail is unrivaled and we continue to work with them on the final items of our building.  They know the value of teamwork and worked very well with the other professionals involved in our project."
